The Story . . .

Ten energy healers, all women, gathered in a beach house on Perdido Bay, Alabama for a
Sacred Sound Retreat weekend October 9-11.  Verlee Young and Jennifer Barbieri, two enthusiastic
practitioners who participated in our June workshop intensive at Sunrise earlier this year, called
the circle together.  Bonnie and I provided the facilitation. Our gracious host, a colleague of Verlee’
s, was Priscilla Condon, who owns the beach house that was once her childhood home, built by her
grandfather and restored by her after Hurricane Katrina – a wonderful setting for our weekend
together.

We learned and shared attunement, viewed inspiring and informative power point
presentations, played quartz crystal bowls to create a sacred space for healing and renewal in the
Attunement Current, and shared many moments of meaningful conversation and dialogue in the
circle.

We prepared out meals on site and those who came from afar in Mississippi and northern
Alabama, including Bonnie and I who drove from Denver, enjoyed comfortable accommodations in
the beach house with its huge screened porch.  It was a very co-creative time with kindred spirits
sharing communion and experiencing a new level of appreciation for how sound provides a sacred
atmosphere for attunement.  We actually heard the angels singing Sunday morning in the warm,
moist breeze wafting in through the windows.  A most magical event that ended with a warm and
encouraging welcome to return again to this Gulf shores haven.
